Are there books, are there novels by her bed?
I had a moment of seething jealousy today. Went to drop a gift off at a friend's at about 11am this morning. Said friend, who (needless to say) is childless, was in her bathrobe. "Did I wake you?"
"No, I was just laying around watching a movie." ARRGHHH!!!!! Must beat back the green-eyed monster!

If it is the friend I know, there are about 20 unfinished books ... but pity her for the years she lived below my family of small children on our hardwood floors ... ; ).
Merry Monday Holiday, O Unreligious Friend : ).

Nope...I am the guilty party. I was even out spreading Christmas cheer until the wee hours the night before.
For the record, I have 8 books by my bed, 3 in the guest room, and a whole different stack to start downstairs.
If it helps I had to fight back the green-eyed monster myself at seeing your adorable son and knowing DQ was bakinng cookies and I was just a loser in her bathrobe at 11 AM in the morning...
Ah, the grass is always greener, eh?
Ah, hello, K-lyn :).
Myself, a day where I dont' have to get out of my jammies is a day of Victory--and never sweeter than since my oldest started school in September! I had my first jammies day since summer two days ago ...
I counted two years ago and had literally sixty(!) books stacked in and overflowing the crate by my bed ... so I committed to not buying more (which didn't last). With new acquisitions, and less determined reading, I think I'm at around 40 now ...
