The ultimate Quinn the Brain moment
Met briefly with Advisor today to confirm a later, more extensive meeting, and to thank her for her comments on my chapter. I basically told her that things had been going poorly, and her comments were very helpful to reassure me that I could do this.
Her response: yes, it's hard, but yes, I'm doing well, and to just keep going. "Besides, your hair looks fabulous and that's what really matters."
HA!

isn't that the best feeling? i picked miy latest chapter up last friday but just got the nerve to open it tuesday. very few general comments (yay). i had told her that her other PhD student thought that certain parts of the chapter could be enriched w/more secondary lit. she agreed w/her other student--wrote it on the body of the chapter. left me thinking, wow, that other student really is brilliant and i really need to thank her for feedback
Wow, it's nice that Advisor has two such nice and supportive PhD students, eh? (and both so productive!!!)
