Baby Names
DQ recently informed me she had a baby in her belly. I asked her what she planned to name her baby. Her answer: "Not-Nice Baby." There are times in both of my pregnancies when I wanted to name my offspring that very thing.

Oh, Lord, I had to stop reading after I got to the woman who thought about naming her daughter Brooklynn.
Though I did work with a woman once who was pregnant and planning on naming her daughter K'lyshaye. She said to me, "That's French, right?" All I could say was, "I think so, yes."

I knew a couple who invented their own last name when they got married, to avoid the problem of whose name the baby would get. Psmythe.
