That can get confusing. Good thing you and the Spouse are interchangeable.
Or, as we like to say, "Wild Boy has two mommies."
Cute! I loved learning Gayle's little language and having to translate to people.
Today at the store, he called "Mami!" and I picked him up. Only to have him push away, point at Spouse, and say, "Mami!"
The more I think about it, the more I like the concept of a gender-neutral parent term that applies to both. I mean, now that he's weaned, we esssentially fill the same role in his life.
