You're all overlooking the really big news: Citing intense voter dissatisfaction, pop-tartlett Britney Spears has requested husband Kevin Federline's resignation.

I couldn't believe yesterday when I got a BREAKING NEWS EMAIL from CNN that was reporting on the SpearFed debacle.

I saw a brief blurb about the Brit/K-Fed thing on our local station yesterday morning. After showing a photo of them and making the "big announcement" the camera went back to the newscasters. The woman, smiling, said "We're all still getting over the shock here". The man burst out laughing and said "Who cares about this anyway?"

You do realize that, had Election Day gone the other way, this post would be titled "Mourning in America"?

Re: the donkey. WB also has toy elephants, but for some reason the donkey (and a duck, don't know what political philosophy that represents) were important enough to take in the bath with him.
