I'm taking a quick break from serene reminiscing about barbequed ribs to plug The American Museum of Moving Image, which contains presidential political ads from 1952 to the present. Beret tip to Flavia, who rocks. Great resource for putting together the final weeks of that tricky syllabus.

The daisy ad, willie horton, and dukakis riding in that stupid tank are some of the best ads out there for the affect they had. The daisy ad is the old time classic

I love that site. I use it frequently in my teaching, and it is such a good resource.
in a related note...I keep waiting for the end of the chevy ads (this is our country) to say...this message is approved by the Republican national committee

p.s. Living in Missouri and being sick the last few days I have seen hundreds of political ads....I can recite them by heart
I guess there are advantages to having a broken TV right about now...
