My very weak attempt (first time playing, be gentle).
2. Bulworth? (I haven't seen it, but if I remember the previews correctly)
3. Why does my mind go to Jane Austen or something around that era? Or Cocktail?
4. Fight Club?
5. Princess Bride?
I'll give you credit for #5, although I was thinking of something else. It's too vague and both work.
The others, not so much.
#2 is O Brother, Where Art Thou?
I'd think #3 was the same, except Clooney wasn't playing a bar owner. So I'll guess Casablanca.
Correct on 2 and 3, Neel.
#1 (Sarah's guess not mine) is Liar Liar
And my guess:
#4 Dead Poets Society?
More from Sarah...who should just come here herself instead of reading over my shoulder...
#5 Beauty and the Beast
And she suggests The Skulls for #4
#5 Overboard
Oh, I like the Overboard answer, too.
I keep thinking Click for #1, but I can't remember if he was a lawyer.
Good one on Casablanca!
K-lyn has #5 right. Methinks I made these too vague, because Overboard might also work. And #4 could easily be "Dead Poets". But it isn't. A little older.
Almost said "Animal House" but their society is not secret.
So #1? Not Liar Liar?
I don't think #1 is The Devil's Advocate, because Keanu Reeves didn't get bloated until much later.
And I'm not seeing Overboard for the last one. Everyone knows the kids were the muscle in that movie.
Julie, I was originally thinking "Animal House" -- their organization may not have been so secret, but their rituals were, and their "double secret probation" was. So I'll give you credit.
Still looking for #1. Is it time for a hint, Neel?
Don't need it. #1 is Gandhi.
You rock, Neel. I knew you could do it!
By the way, why are Julie and K-Lyn frequenting your logline quizzes, but not mine? They conclude this Monday, ladies.
The answer to one of your questions is in the very first comment. Not only new at playing, but reading.
Yours were all solved by the time I read them.
